Training Cancellation & Refund Policy

All workshops are subject to receiving sufficient registrations.

We reserve the right to cancel any workshop up to 30 days before its scheduled start date.

If a training event is canceled in under 30 days due to unforeseen circumstances (weather, health emergency, natural disaster, national disaster, technological difficulties, etc.), registrants are entitled to attend the rescheduled event, apply the balance toward a  future training course, or receive a full refund. We will contact you through the email provided upon registration.

No refunds will be given for courses for which the CE certificate has been administered.

We are not responsible for any expenses incurred by registrants if a training course is canceled at any time for any reason.

Partial credit is not available. To receive CE credit, participants must attend and complete all portions of a workshop. This includes online exams for non-contact or online training events. Participants must be present for the live event and must be online for online courses.

Live events may be recorded. Registration assumes consent for recording. The Recording will not commence before being announced to the training group.  Participants will disclose according to their awareness that an event is being recorded.

Disclosure. Additionally, due to the nature of experiential activities and insights, participants are encouraged to disclose within their capacity to contain their feelings. We further encourage you to have a personal therapist or support group with which to process unresolved feelings that emerge during training.

Play therapy credit will be awarded to mental health professionals only per the guidelines of the Association for Play Therapy. It is the responsibility of all participants to obtain appropriate supervision and/or consultation when learning new therapeutic techniques and to operate within their scope of practice and professional regulations.

Continuing education credits for state or professional licensing boards are not available unless specifically indicated on the training announcement. Contact your state board or professional organization for guidance.

Quiz answers and participant information are stored for audit purposes for a period of five years only. After that, they will be purged.

Online courses may use a course database that requires registration with login (create a user name and password). Course materials can be accessed through the course registration link and are available immediately upon registration. The course administrator can restrict access to the course and limits to access are noted in the course registration. Upon registration, the course administrator has the ability to track document downloads and course activity.

Upon course completion, participants will be awarded a CE certificate. Sometimes, the automation does not work and the CE certificate is not aligned correctly, if this is the case, contact info@dremilykeller.com to obtain one that meets requirements.

Online asynchronous courses have a 30-day, no questions asked full refund policy. However, no refunds will be given for any course in which a certificate has already been issued.

We are committed to conducting all activities in strict conformance with ACA ethical standards and Best Practices outlined by APT. We will comply with all legal and ethical responsibilities to be non-discriminatory in promotional activities, program content, and in the treatment of program participants. The monitoring and assessment of compliance with these standards will be the responsibility of the CE Administrator in consultation with the Director and other staff running the continuing education program.

While we go to great lengths to assure fair treatment for all participants and attempt to anticipate problems, there will be occasional issues that come to the attention of the staff, faculty or visiting faculty which require intervention and/or action on our part. The procedures for handling such grievances are described below.

When a participant, either orally or in written format, files a grievance or expects action:

  1. If the grievance concerns a speaker, the content presented by the speaker, or the style of presentation, the individual filing the grievance will be asked to put his/her comments in written format. The CE Administrator will then pass on the comments to the speaker, assuring the confidentiality of the grieved individual.
  2. If the grievance concerns a workshop offering, its content, level of presentation, or the facilities in which the workshop was offered, the Director will mediate and will be the final arbitrator. If the participant requests action, the Director will:
  3. Attempt to move the participant to another workshop, or
  4. Provide a credit for a subsequent year’s workshop, or
  5. Provide a partial or full refund of the workshop fee.

Actions 2b and 2c will require a written note, documenting the grievance, for record-keeping purposes. The note need not be signed by the grieved individual.

  1. If the grievance concerns Bay Area for Play Therapy Training CE program, in a specific regard, the Director will arbitrate.
